This is EXACTLY why Sephora sends you samples.
I recently placed an order and went in for one of those 500-point rewards packages from the church of makeup. This particular pack was Dr. Brandt Needles No More. It included a few of the products the new line that the doc rolled out a few months ago. As I slowly edge closer to 30, I’m noticing small wrinkles in my forehead and the ever so lovely frown lines between my eyebrows – thanks to many dollars spent on laying in tanning beds. I was certain that Botox was in my immediate future, but honestly couldn’t get myself to justify an expense like that in my life right now (says the girl who pays $40 a month to tint her eyebrows).
I was super intrigued by the name alone – Needles No More. Does this mean I can have a product that avoids the pesky costs and pain associated with sticking cosmetic needles into my shriveling skin?! Sign me UP.
Nothing else really stood out from the collection, except for one little bottle of heaven. I had a small sample size of their Instant Wrinkle Smoothing Cream – literally smaller than my pinky finger – that I used for only a week. Holy, cow. What a difference. I am still mind blown and KNEW I had to keep this portion of my skincare routine intact.
I should have known by the tremendous results there would be a price tag involved. A hefty one. When I tell you I stood in an internal debate with myself inside Sephora for almost an entire half hour – I wouldn’t be exaggerating at all.
Did I end up buying it? What do you think? I have no self-control.
I did find some important information for my next go-around, though. If you go through the Dr. Brandt website directly, a discount code is very readily available and they often have sales on this product in particular. I would highly recommend saving yourself a few bucks – it was physically painful to see I could’ve bought the same product for $56 I just paid $89 for. Ouch.
That being said, this stuff really does make a difference. The reviews are a little volatile – some people saw absolutely no results while others saw life-changing ones – so, my other recommendation would be to go to your local Sephora and snag a sample (which, if you’re not a Sephora reg, an associate can make you a sample of pretty much anything if you ask). I would say if you see the same results I did in a week, it’s definitely worth buying the larger bottle.
You really only need less than a pea size amount and although the bottle is deceivingly (and nauseatingly) smaller than it looks online, it should last you quite a long time – even if you use it twice a day as instructed.
Any other wrinkle savers you guys are obsessed with? Share them, PLEASE. Thirty is haunting me.
