New year means new beauty products I’ll inevitably be obsessed with – YASSSS.
December was a combo of old addictions and new – here’s a list to kick off your 2018 with some amazing products.
DryBar On The Rocks Clarifying Shampoo & Conditioner – As much as I love DryBar, bringing it home is even better. This magical shower combo not only makes it so easy to blow dry (with my DryBar dryer – I’m an addict, I’m sorry), it feels SO clean for a few days. Even though the bottle is MUCH smaller than a standard drugstore shampoo, maintainance with your favorite dry shampoo will make the product last so long – you need just a tiny bit to make a huge difference in your routine. Finally, I love that I can get it at Sephora or Ulta – I’m all about those points and samples, duh.
Cle de Peau Beaute Radiant Liquid Rouge – This nude gloss is so freaking pigmented. I’ve been looking for a lippie I can wear with a natural makeup look and this definitely does the trick. Sometimes I just feel like a matte lipstick is overkill – especially for an everyday makeup look like who am I trying to impress over here…the price tag is just so much more than I would ever recommend you spend on a LIP GLOSS. I mean common – $48?! Just, no. It’s pretty, though. Thanks Influenster for sending it, but realistically I’m never going to purchase this myself. Pitty.
Kylie Cosmetics Ultra Glow in Fiji – I’m going to do a whole seperate post this month in regards to inner corner highlight, but this stuff is what highlighting dreams are made of. I did post about the birthday collection duo awhile back, so when I saw she brought back her OG highlights I snagged them (since they were a little more versitile in color). This is the one makeup product I use everyday. I don’t always have time (or the desire) to do a whole eyeshadow look, so sometime I’ll just dust this over my inner corner, nose, cheeks, brow bone, MY ENTIRE LIFE. This stuff is so amazing and if she puts out more you KNOW I’m buying them. Sorry, not sorry.
DIORSHOW Mascara – After shamelessly asking for a sample of this every time I place a Sephora offer, I finally bought a full size. I know, I know – this makes me seem like the biggest hippocrit when I just told you $48 was wayyy too much for a lip product. Even though, for a mascara, this isn’t THAT much. But, I digress. I’m obsessed with this mascara – the formula is not chunky AT all. I don’t think it’s waterproof (which could be why it’s so smooth), but, the way it makes my lashes look is unlike any mascara I’ve ever used. I actually just threw the DIOR lash primer in my Sephora cart too, so I’ll let you know how that goes once it arrives!
Pretty Little Thing Silk Shirt Dress – If you know anything about me, I love two things – simplicity and the Kardashians. Kourtney’s clothing line has the cutest stuff. This simple, silk shirt dress is so versatile. Being short, I can make it work appropriate and also can be the most adorable cocktail/night-out dress with my fave knee high boots when I go to Miami next month. It’s super good quality and affordable. That being said, buyer beware. I did buy two dresses and the other was wayyy too small. Since the store is in the UK, I followed the return procedures and pretty much have no idea where it is and if it ever made it’s way back. That reminds me, I should probably send an email…
Also, LOVING my coffee table tray from Target! Going to see this A LOT in future flat lays!
